Just one year ago, news of the demise of the Northwest Flower & Garden Show has us shaking in our garden clogs. Today, under the leadership of Northwest-based O’Loughlin Trade Shows, who purchased the show from founder Duanne Kelly last summer, this highlight of the Northwest gardening year is poised to debut it’s 22nd year.
With a theme of “Beauty and Functionality” we’re promised spectacular display gardens, family-friendly attractions, and countless FREE how-to seminars for gardeners of all ages, and levels of expertise.
The show runs February 3-7 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in downtown Seattle. Visit the show’s website for nitty gritty details and information about where you can purchase tickets ahead ahead of time to save a little cash.
That’s more money for seeds, tools, compost bins, watering devices, garden art and other goodies – all of which are offered at one of the most comprehensive garden marketplaces on the West Coast. I’ve got my eye on another rain barrel, early spring-planting seeds and possibly a worm bin. I might mention that I’ve found some of my favorite vintage garden gnomes at the marketplace in year’s past, but then you might beat me to the good stuff!
See you at the Show!
