My mother used to make plum jelly when I was a kid in northern Ohio. The tree sat hanging over the vegetable garden, growing along a fence line that kept the cows at bay. She made it and poured it into those short jars and finished it off with paraffin on top. She loved making home made bread. That with the jelly was heaven. Hadn't thought about that for 30 some odd years. Thanks.
