Life is NOT a garden party
Enough already!!!
Friday (the 13th) was beautiful; upper 50′s, tear-off-your-sweatshirt-and-leave-it-somewhere weather! Today? NOT SO MUCH. I’m so glad I grabbed the chance to work outside the other day. In between cutting back my ornamental grasses, spreading mulch and weeding I snapped a few Garden Blogger Bloom Day shots, (Hi everyone!) The results make for an interesting – although torturous- contrast with those I took this morning.
Iris unguicularis
Iris unguicularis faithfully throws a blooms most every week between December and March – I finally caught one on film… pixel?
All in all, a lovely day in the garden. And then the fickle weather took over once again…
- fickle snow
- brave daffodils
- N. ‘February Gold’
- Rannunculus ficaria ‘Brazen Hussy’
- Rannunculus not so ‘Brazen’
- just a dusting
- Crocus vernus
- brrrrr…
- resilient little crocus
True confession…the sky has actually cleared this afternoon, but the temperatures remain cold and my sweatshirt is zipped all the way up. A good day to clean my closet.

Love your Brazen Hussy!
Have you tried online for your elusive elixer?
Donna
Helen & Mother Nature – thanks for reading along! I ask you – what’s NOT to like about a ‘Brazen Hussy’!!
Lorene
that’s my next move, although I’ve been assured that the liquor stores are re-ordering because there’s been such a recent run on the product~
Enough already is right. Did you guys get windstorms today too?
Well your flowers are lovely in spite of the cruddy weather we’re having. I could be so lucky – nothing blooming much up here yet but lots peeking through. I hate that I’m a couple of weeks later than everyone else since I’m so very anxious and have a horrible case of spring fever even in this horrible weather!
